Founded in 1985 in South San Francisco, USA, New Deantronics specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of electrosurgical pencils, instruments, and accessories, with a strong focus on the medical electrosurgery (Radio Frequency, RF) market.

For decades, New Deantronics has been deeply committed to advancing electrosurgical technology. Building on this core expertise, we integrate smart manufacturing and lean management practices while actively expanding our global presence. Today, New Deantronics is recognized as one of the world’s leading providers of electrosurgical devices.

With core technologies and a thorough understanding of market needs, we have further expanded our product applications and multi-disciplinary solutions in areas including neurosurgery, cardiac defibrillation, general surgery, laparoscopic and arthroscopic procedures, and orthopedic sports medicine. Our capabilities span electrosurgical RF, therapeutic ultrasound, and optical integration, enabling us to serve as a trusted Total Solution Provider.

To meet customer needs, New Deantronics continues to strengthen its global operations. Our corporate headquarters is located in Tucheng, New Taipei City, Taiwan, with additional facilities in Chiayi, southern Taiwan, and Nevada, USA. The Chiayi facility houses an internationally standard-certified ethylene oxide (EO) sterilization center, providing full control over the manufacturing and sterilization processes to ensure consistent, high-quality products, reflecting our ongoing commitment to quality and value.

1985

▸After earning an MBA from the University of San Francisco, our Founder and President, Jane Liu, established New Deantronics, Ltd. in South San Francisco, California. Driven by a spirit of caring and a commitment to quality, New Deantronics entered the RF medical device market with a long-term vision of advancing medical innovation.

1987

▸President Jane Liu returned to Taiwan to establish New Deantronics Taiwan Ltd. in Xindian, New Taipei City, with the vision of strengthening Taiwan's position in the global medical device industry. Inspired by the practices of leading U.S. medical device companies, she began implementing a rigorous quality system to ensure a lasting legacy of operational and product excellence.

1991

▸New Deantronics successfully implemented semi-automated production lines and earned accreditation from the FDA, ISO, and other international standards. Guided by the philosophy of "Quality, Delivery, Cost (QDC)," ND evolved into a medical device Total Solution Provider, capable of manufacturing, packaging, sterilizing, and delivering finished products directly to customers.

1995

▸In the five years following FDA accreditation in 1995, New Deantronics also received ISO 9002 Quality Management System Certification, Permit of Taiwan Pharmaceutical Manufacturer License, and ISO 13485 Quality Management System Certification.

2001

▸New Deantronics continued to achieve major certifications, including the EU CE Marking and Taiwan GMP, and established a TAF-accredited Microbiology Laboratory. ND became the first medical device manufacturer in Taiwan to provide TAF-certified microbiology testing and monitoring services.

2003

▸New Deantronics expanded into Asia-Pacific markets, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Korea, while continuing to advance its RF medical device technologies. Over the following five years, the company broadened its product portfolio beyond general electrosurgery to include orthopedics, sports medicine, AED, laparoscopy, and neurology.

2006

▸New Deantronics received the Rising Star Award, the National Award of Outstanding Small and Medium Enterprises, and The Industrial Sustainable Excellence Award, further validating the company's commitment to quality and attracting more talent.

2009

As the company continued to grow, New Deantronics relocated to a larger facility in Tucheng, New Taipei City, where a Class 10,000 injection molding facility was also established. The development of automation capabilities further strengthened our commitment to lean manufacturing.

2012

▸Starting from 2012, New Deantronics went on to receive the National Quality Award, Potential Mittelstand Award, and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Certification - all testments to the company's responsible business practices and outstanding quality.

2015

▸President Jane Liu established ForMed Ventures, a venture capital fund aimed at supporting early-stage medical device startups. The fund helps emerging businesses navigate their initial development phases and accelerates product innovation through strategic collaboration with New Deantronics.

▸Investments toward future growth were realized as New Deantronics began construction of an additional manufacturing facility and started planning the establishment of an EO sterilization facility in Chiayi's newly developed Machouhou Industrial Park.

2018

▸Expansion continued with the construction of a U.S. facility in Reno-Sparks, Nevada, a 20-acre campus housing office space, an R&D center, manufacturing, R4R (Return for Repair), and warehousing operations.

▸New Deantronics received Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) Certification.

▸President Jane Liu was recognized as Taiwan EY Entrepreneur of the Year.

2019

▸New Deantronics launched a new facility in Chiayi, southern Taiwan, spanning approximately 500,000 sq. ft. The facility is equipped with offices, manufacturing, and warehousing, and features an internationally certified EO sterilization center, further enhancing the company's manufacturing and direct-to-distribution capabilities.

2020

▸New Deantronics' Chiayi facility has officially commenced mass production. This milestone marks another step in our efforts to meet growing customer demand, enhance global competitiveness, and create value for both the organization and Taiwan, underscoring our commitment to being based in Taiwan while serving global markets.

▸This was also the year of the first publication of New Deantronics' CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Annual Report. We continue to advance our company's mission of "Caring for People, for Products, and for the Planet," making steady progress in addressing key issues related to global sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).

2022

▸New Deantronics Sterilization Services (NDSS) obtained ISO 13485 and ISO 11135 certifications and commenced sterilization operations. NDSS provides a comprehensive range of sterilization services, including validation and routine sterilization for medical devices. The facility features a centralized Human-Machine Interface (HMI) system that controls the automated sterilization and aeration processes while monitoring EO (ethylene oxide) concentrations to ensure worker safety. Equipped with the highly efficient catalytic abatement system (CAP 5000), NDSS achieves near-zero EO emissions, demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability.

▸President Jane Liu was honored with the Taiwan Golden Merchants Award for Outstanding Businessperson of the Year.

2023

▸New Deantronics' U.S. facility in Nevada, has been completed and is fully operational. Phase 1 includes office space, an R&D center, manufacturing, and warehousing facilities totaling 180,000 sq. ft., with the remaining land reserved for future expansion. The facility serves as both an incubation hub for innovation and a distribution center for global operations, representing another step in delivering responsive service closer to our customers.
